My god, wild boar piglets are some of the most adorable creatures I've ever seen.

Look at that.

And that, with them crossing the street 'Make Way for Ducklings' style. (And as far as the article accompanying the picture goes--I realize it makes me an awful bunny cuddler (which was what the lady who ran--still does run, in fact--a bird rehab center that I worked for for a few years in 7th-8th-9th grade, called those people who were more interested in petting the birds and bunnies than being effective about helping them), and cuteness should not matter when it comes to preserving species, preserving "nature", and all that good stuff--like this guy says, it's a shame coral reefs aren't cute, and creatures also tend only to be cute in isolation, where we can't start eating one another--but my first impulse on seeing someone try to shoot one of these little guys would probably be to run in with an umbrella, too.)

And I really like this photo.

(The pictures of boars wandering through town makes me think of this quote from that book I linked above, on p. 102:
"I would smile to see chimpanzees walking dogs down the street and countries adopting ethical rules for the treatment of robots. I would enjoy a movement toward greater vegetarianism, as long as that doesn't mean an increase in the furious, erotic hatred of the body that manifests in 'veg-anorexia' and size zero clothing. I hope governments decide to cover every roof in the world with solar panels. I would like us not to ponder whether 'animals' have rights but to respond to the demands of coexistent beings. Most of all I'll be glad if the effect of the climate disruption crisis is not upgraded capitalism but a long hard look at why we're alive and what we want to do about it, together."
