This picture could also be called 'How acoustic tile really works: THE SHOCKING TRUTH'.

Seriously, though, yeah. Suite Pretty Cure fanart. If you don't know this series, these are Hibiki (in the center there, wings, pink hair, and stuff), her girlfriend Kanade (in her civilian and not transformed form), and their...canary, Noise (the final boss/bad guy of the series, who spent most of the series in tiny grouchy bird form before turning into the shape pictured below. Whereupon Hibiki defeated him handily and sort of adorably by insisting that he smile. I mean, insisting this while at the same time administering an asskicking, but it was still adorable.).

By the end of Suite, I was just delighted with Hibiki. As much as I loved Tsubomi and her adorable dork glasses in Heartcatch, Hibiki's probably my favorite Cure team leader from the series I've seen so far. She and Kanade there spent the whole series acting all kinds of original series Kirk and Spock married to each other and I love them as a couple. But I also found it hard not to ship Hibiki with nearly everyone else as well. And like I say, Hibiki was particularly suave about turning Noise back from the dark side. So in this case I'm gonna say that Hibiki can have both a girlfriend and a canary. (Anyhow, it's one of those cases where I figure I'll draw first what I think there's the least chance anyone else will draw for me.)

NWS on account of some nudity. Not much, though, and there's nothing going on beyond handholding and lap-sitting and cuddling. Also, the image size wound up sort of excessively large, and I apologize for that. )

DAMMIT SUITE PRETTY CURE WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME.

Heh. Ah, yes. I do love me some magical girl shows, and I've been watching Suite Pretty Cure, the latest entry in that franchise. It's not at all as good as Heartcatch, nor even as good as Splash Star. But it's definitely been improving over the past few episodes, I'd say (even though the villains remain ridiculous and laughable *even for Pretty Cure*), and almost entirely because of all the homoerotic cat angst.

You heard me.

*SPOILERS FOLLOW* (but I mean, this is Pretty Cure and not Madoka--most of the big reveals are not exactly a surprise)

Yes, so, the leader of the bad guys' "away team" in Suite Pretty Cure is, for the first 20 odd episodes of the show, a cat named Seiren (she's the grey or purple cat down there who's rocking a fluffy white ruff). She used to be on the side of the good guys and used to be best friends with the Pretty Cures' mascot character for the season, Hummy (she's the pink and white cat down there). Pretty Cure's enemy-to-friend switches are always broadly telegraphed from the very beginning; it's been pretty obvious from the start that Seiren was going to switch sides (again) eventually.

Anyhow, in episode 21 of Suite Precure Seiren had her big Darth Vader vs. Emperor Palpatine moment (I mean, basically--the bad guys were threatening Hummy, and she didn't want them to make her *best friend* (ahem) cry) and...yeah. In order to protect Hummy, she turned into the third Pretty Cure, Cure Beat, the lady on the right, below. (sidenote--this is also one of those rare times when a character's "good" form is totally hotter than her "evil" form) I should note, Seiren's a cat, but she's always had a human form as well as a cat form. FOR THE SAKE OF MY SANITY I do hope that Hummy will eventually be given a human form too...IT WOULD ONLY MAKE SENSE since AFAIK they are both supposed to be the same sort of creature. But I will not lie, I will almost certainly keep shipping Hummy with Seiren regardless. (You know I've shipped worse. :D)

It's fluffy and cuddly and G-rated but still might make people look at you funny )
