Seriously, though, yeah. Suite Pretty Cure fanart. If you don't know this series, these are Hibiki (in the center there, wings, pink hair, and stuff), her girlfriend Kanade (in her civilian and not transformed form), and their...canary, Noise (the final boss/bad guy of the series, who spent most of the series in tiny grouchy bird form before turning into the shape pictured below. Whereupon Hibiki defeated him handily and sort of adorably by insisting that he smile. I mean, insisting this while at the same time administering an asskicking, but it was still adorable.).

By the end of Suite, I was just delighted with Hibiki. As much as I loved Tsubomi and her adorable dork glasses in Heartcatch, Hibiki's probably my favorite Cure team leader from the series I've seen so far. She and Kanade there spent the whole series acting all kinds of original series Kirk and Spock married to each other and I love them as a couple. But I also found it hard not to ship Hibiki with nearly everyone else as well. And like I say, Hibiki was particularly suave about turning Noise back from the dark side. So in this case I'm gonna say that Hibiki can have both a girlfriend and a canary. (Anyhow, it's one of those cases where I figure I'll draw first what I think there's the least chance anyone else will draw for me.)

Latest issue of SSBB is out, and as usual, there are lots of great authors contributing.

And, as you can see at the above link, I did this issue's cover illustration (in which my May/December kink marches ever onward--and yeah, I saw 101 Dalmatians at a formative age).

I also got to illustrate beeblebabe's story for this issue, The Black River Rises--as always, it's great, and you should read it. :D

Yeah, like I say, the new issue of BB Shousetsu is out! You should go check it out--lots of good stories and lovely artwork, as always; if you fancy a bit of BL, it's probably relevant to your interests.

And I enjoyed illustrating causeways' story Beyond my Imagination. It's roughly based on, or started from the idea that (as you may have heard) Abe Lincoln had to share a bed with another fellow when he was young--and one often did back in the day, so it might mean nothing or might mean lots of things. :) It's a really sweet story and I recommend it.

I picked up Ah! My Goddess (the anime) recently because I wanted something brainless to watch while doing something else, and also because the characters are pretty. It's somewhere between a harem show and a magical girlfriend show, neither of which are my thing, but it's also an older show and so not infected by the moe disease, and all in all it's mostly quite sweet-natured. Belldandy is lovely, Keiichi is a decent dude, I love the little one-off episodes about things like Skuld learning to ride a bicycle.

And then of course, then there are Urd and Marller, and they're both hilarious and I kinda ship the fuck out of 'em. It's not like this series is the most friendly to ladyslash in the world, buuuuut I still think this is pretty easy to see. (Marller in particular suffers from what I can only call Orochimaru-like habits, specifically around other ladies--yes, yes, in a fantasy series, looming over someone and shouting "I want your body!" does not necessarily mean what it usually would mean, buuut...)
